Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel has delivered an update that many fans were hoping not to hear. Despite rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers showing real promise in preseason action, McDaniel made it clear that the seventh-round pick will not be moving up the depth chart just yet. That being said, McDaniel did not dismiss the strides Ewers has made since joining the Dolphins. He praised the former Texas Longhorn for his composure under pressure and clear improvement throughout training camp. Nonetheless, he stressed that Ewers is still developing and requires time before being considered for a more prominent role. With one preseason game remaining against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the rookie’s immediate future with the team is still uncertain.
